Car History

Presented in Maroon red with cream leather interior and on wire wheels.

This car was first delivered to Mr. F. L. Glasby on the 1st of March 1969.

In 1983 the car was sold to Mrs. Charlotte Katy Bariffi in Sailsbury who sold the car on the 24.04.1986 to Mr Peter Striegel in Germany.

Mr. Striegel only registered the car in Germany over a year later on the 16.11.1987 and sold the Jaguar on to Dr. Michael Jungk in Giessen, Germany on the 14.04.1988.

The last owner, Mr. Walter Niklas bought the car on the 09.09.1991.

The 2.4 liter engine was replaced in 1992 (at approximately 92,500 miles) with a reconditioned 3.8 liter engine together with an automatic gearbox from a Jaguar XJ6 by Manuel A. J. Queiroz in Halesowen, West Midlands, UK. Shortly after that the differential was changed to match the engine and gearbox.

At the same time the interior was retrimmed by Aldridge Trimming in Wolverhampton.

Between 1992 and 1994 various works were carried out on the car which included some re-chroming work, re-coring of the radiator and a complete striped down and repainting in the original Imperial Maroon Red.

Unfortunately only the last owner kept records of all the works and services carried out and there is a comprehensive fill from 1991 on.

The milometer currently reads 106,786 miles which is supported by various service and MOT/ TUV documents.
